SIMPSON BAY:--- An off duty police officer pulled his weapon on a taxi driver on Tuesday afternoon after a minor traffic accident in the Simpson Bay area. SMN News learnt that the taxi driver was involved in a minor accident with the off duty officer. Persons who saw the accident said after the accident an argument started and the officer pulled out his weapon.
Up to press time no one from KPSM could be reached for a comment on the incident.

The Police Internal Affairs is presently investigating an off duty police officer who was in a heated dispute with a taxi driver and allegedly pulled his service weapon. This incident took place on Tuesday February 18th, 2014 at approximately 2:15pm in the Simpson Bay area. During this dispute both parties had caused damage to each other's cars and the Police Traffic Department was notified to investigate the matter. The Internal Affairs was also sent to scene to conduct an investigation because it was not clear as to what exactly took place. The Internal Affairs is presently investigating this matter to bring clarity to the situation.
