Police Officers Peeved about Article concerning the Officer that pulled his weapon on a Taxi Driver.

PHILIPSBURG:--- Several police officers are extremely upset about the article a particular newspaper wrote about an off duty officer who got in a minor accident and argument with a taxi driver Tuesday afternoon in the Simpson Bay area.
The officers that spoke to SMN News reporter on the condition of anonymity identified the taxi driver as "Riley". "This particular taxi driver has a beef with the police force, he provokes police officers whenever the opportunity presents itself and then he would run to the media with a story. On Tuesday afternoon, the taxi driver was driving at very high speed in Simpson Bay while our colleague officer Cessar Romero was in front of him. In order to slow this driver down, the off duty cop slowed down his vehicle and the taxi driver came right up under him. The taxi driver then made some sort of maneuver and caused the accident, at that point the off duty officer approached him to discuss the accident but an argument ensued. During the argument, the taxi driver took a rock and hit Officer Romero on his shoulder. Nowhere in the news article it mentioned that the officer was assaulted but it states that the officer pulled his service weapon on a taxi driver."
While SMN News also got the same information that an off duty officer was involved in a minor accident with a taxi driver and we also wrote an article, it must be noted that Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson dispatched a press release Tuesday evening indicating that the police internal affairs was busy investigating one of its own.
The taxi driver in question was at the Philipsburg police station on Wednesday morning where he was being heard.
