National Alliance Faction Calls for Urgent Meeting of Parliament to discuss Current Developments at PJIAE.

PHILIPSBURG:--- In view of the ongoing developments at PJIAE the faction of the National Alliance has decided to request an urgent meeting of Parliament to discuss these and other matters with the shareholder representative, Minister Ted Richardson.
The request will be submitted to the Chairlady of Parliament tomorrow morning.
Clarity is needed, the leader of the National Alliance William Marlin said on Monday night. According to information reaching the faction, employees of the Finance Department have supposedly been told that if they do not inform management who leaked documents, the entire department would be fired.
Late Monday night it was rumored that at the least one employee had been sent home. It was not clear if the employee in question had been fired or had been sent home pending an investigation.
Marlin said that while the airport management is focusing on who may have leaked information, it is important to find out what is true about the many allegations circulating on the island.
The airport is definitely one of St. Maarten's strategic companies and we cannot afford any actions there.
Marlin said he hopes the meeting will be convened by Thursday upcoming and that Minister Ted Richardson will provide clarity to the many questions.
