MIDDLE REGION:--- A young pregnant woman was found dead in her Middle Region home on Tuesday. Information reaching SMN News states that the young woman is about 29 years old and she was in the early stages of pregnancy. SMN News was told that the body was discovered by the mother of the young woman sometime Tuesday afternoon.
Police spokesman Ricardo Henson confirmed that he was informed of the discovery which he said was at Richardson Drive, Middle Region. Henson said that so far the cause of death cannot be determined, therefore police will confiscate the body for an autopsy to be conducted. Henson identified the victim only by her initials which he said is M.A.S.
Public Prosecutor Maarten Noordzij also confirmed that the body of a pregnant woman was found and that the police are busy investigating the cause of death. "I don't have much information, all I can say is that the body of a pregnant woman was found and that we are investigating to see if the death was criminal or if it was an accident."
