MIDDLE REGION:--- The Leader of the OSPP, Lenny Priest wants to congratulate Dr. Alma Fleming-Rogers with the honor that has been bestowed on her to name the primary school in Belvedere after her. The flowers should always be given to you when you are alive. We believe that this honor is well deserved for the contribution that Dr. Fleming-Rogers has made to education over the years here in St. Maarten and other countries as a teacher, a principal, an advisor to education and so many other posts in the field of education. Dr. Fleming-Rogers comes from a family that has blessed St. Maarten with many family members taking up positions in the field of education and health. We want to wish Dr. Fleming-Rogers God speed and many, many more years of good life.
To the students that will be attending the Dr. Fleming-Rogers Primary School for the school year 2014-2015 and thereafter we want to encourage you to do your best and to make Dr. Fleming-Rogers very proud every year of your excellent achievements. I can tell you that she will be listening to the results on a yearly basis after test week and after you have completed your secondary education to know that the foundation that was laid at the Dr. Fleming-Rogers Primary School in Belvedere was solid as a rock.
The community of Belvedere should make it their business to take care of the school and the school in turn will take care of you. Don't allow anybody to vandalize your school. Together we will make St. Maarten S.H.I.N.E.
