PHILIPSBURG:--- Police are now investigating the brutal slaying of a Grand Case resident that owns a sign and airbrush shop in French Quarter. The victim is known in the community as Junior Bertin Maurce aka Juice Boy.
SMN News learnt that the victim was inside Roof Top Night Club located on A.Th Illidge Road when a female allegedly went inside the club and called him outside. According to our sources when Juice Boy reached outside and was standing between the laundry and Roof Top Night Club a gun battle ensued leaving the victim dead.
Police found the dead man's body lying on the ground between the laundry and Roof Top. The gun battle took place around 4:55am Saturday morning.
Police already recovered the getaway car in Madame Estate with multiple gunshots. While several empty shells were found at the scene where the shooting took place.
Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson confirmed that a man identified as "Junior" was shot to death early Saturday morning. The police spokesman said he could not say how many suspects were involved in the early morning shooting. Henson also confirmed that police recovered a Ford Explorer with license plate R 1215 with multiple gunshots in the Madame Estate area.
