PHILIPSBURG:--- On Sunday November 2nd, 2014 at approximately 8:40 a.m. several police patrols, detectives and forensic personnel were directed to the Beach Plaza Casino to investigate an armed robbery which took place earlier in the morning. According to the investigating officers they spoke to the manager and the security guard who stated that around 8:00 a.m. a small white vehicle which was heavily tinted stopped in front of the establishment, when two heavily armed men dress in white and black with black mask jumped out of the vehicle and followed her and the security guard into the building. There is where the robbers forced both victims to lay down on the floor. The suspects then robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash. After committing their act the suspects fled the scene. The Forensic Department was on the scene to collect evidence, while the Detectives were questioning potential witnesses. The investigation is ongoing.
