Four PAF officers went to PJIAE with firearms and did not notify Dutch Authorities
AIRPORT:--- At least four French Police Aux Frontiers (PAF) officers got a taste of their own medicine on Wednesday morning when they showed up at the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIAE) on Wednesday morning fully armed. SMN News learnt that the four PAF were surrounded by five Dutch police officers at PJIAE. At the scene was head of the Simpson Bay outpost Carlyle Rogers. SMN News further learnt that the police patrol from Simpson Bay went to PJAIE after receiving a call from the central dispatch which is located in Phillipsburg. A source said that Rogers tookit upon himself to go to PJIAE because he considered the case a sensitive one that has to be treated properly.
SMN News learnt that the Dutch police officers informed the PAF officers that they are not allowed to be on the Dutch side with firearms. According to the information SMN News received, while the Dutch police officers were attending to their counterparts someone slashed two of the tires on their vehicles and they were busy changing them at the time SMN News contacted persons at the scene. It is further understood that the Dutch police officers informed their French colleagues that since they did not see it fit to notify the Dutch that they were going to PJIAE armed then they have to escort them back to the border. After the PAF changed their tires they were escorted to the the Cupe Coy border. While the detectives were called to the scene to open an investigation as to who took it upon themselves to cut the tires on the French Gendarmes vehicles.
It should be noted that while the French Gendarmes and PAF have been going to the Dutch side armed almost every day without notifying the Dutch authorities, the Dutch Police Officers decided to enforce the law since the captain of the Gendarmerie Slyvian Joualt and his colleagues chased two Dutch Police Officers from the French side on November 11th, 2014 while they were escorting the Prime Minister and Governor to the French side to attend the St. Martin's Day celebration.

On Wednesday November 19th, 2014 at approximately 11:30 a.m. the Central Police Dispatch received several phone calls stating that there were four armed Gendarmes walking around at the Princess Juliana International Airport. Immediately after receiving this information a police patrol was sent to investigate the situation. On the scene the officers encountered two Gendarmes dressed in civilian clothing and two officers from the PAF who were armed and in the process of having someone deported. The French officers were asked if the had any permission through the Ministry of Justice to carry their weapons on the Dutch side. The officers immediately denied having any permission and decided to immediately return to the French with their weapons because they did not have the necessary clearance to have their weapons on the Dutch side. After finalizing the deportation process of the person they brought to the airport, the investigating officers escorted the French officers to their vehicles which were parked in front of the terminal building they noticed that during their absence unknown persons had punctured one of the tires of each of the vehicles they were driving. The detectives were immediately informed and arrived on the scene to investigate the situation. After having the tires replaced the officers were escorted the border.
