PHILIPSBURG:--- The gates for the second annual Christmas Village organized by Heaven's Touch Ministries International will be open today from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The general public is invited to come out and celebrate the festive season of Christmas and also stock up on traditional goodies that booth holders will have on sale. The Christmas Village is located at Hope Estate # 2, opposite the Shell Suckergarden Service Station, in the church compound. It started on Thursday night and continues until tonight.
"We at Heaven's Touch International Ministries will be heightening the celebration of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ when he wrapped himself with humanity and was born of a woman in a manger on planet Earth. The main purpose of this event is to extend the love and feeling of Christmas by giving to the Seniors, in the community on the nights of the Christmas village and also purchasing of musical equipment for our Ministry," secretary of the church Arlene Wilson stated.
The organizing committee decided to rent spaces to churches and individuals for them to sell food, cakes, clothing and crafts. A prize will also be given out for the best dressed booth with the most creative items on display.
The general public is being invited to visit this free event and join in the festive atmosphere at the Christmas Village.
