PHILIPSBURG:---- Organizers of the Laugh out loud event Dance mania were forced to make a tough decision and move the venue of the show at the last minute to another location due to the lack of sponsors. It is no secrete that securing sponsorship is a bit difficult however the youth group still decided to push to have the show in the festival village. The show consisted of 15 dance groups including one from Our neighboring islands St. Eustatius and one from Our northern side. Several commitments were made by sponsors however the donations could of only be done on a later date. Organizers again stressed that all was done on their part to make sure the show continues however this was not enough to ensure the continuity of the show. PDP( white tent) has accepted our request to move the show to its venue to this Friday February 13th starting 7:00pm Sharp.
Patrons who purchased tickets are requested to hold on to them and present them at the door as they will be honored. The excitement among teens is still high and we consider this a learning curve and look forward to giving the public a great show despite the minor set backs. LOL productions would like to apologize to the public for any inconvenience caused due to the sudden announcement of Change of venue. We do like to take this opportunity to appeal to businesses to assist our organization to accommodate the move and groups who might still need assistance.
LOL consist of President Johamny Alcala, Vice president John Nebenson, treasurer RJ Gumbs, PR Taffari Johnson and show coordinator Andrew Dick. LOL would also like to publicly thank the Statia group for being committed in the show and hopes that it will get the cooperation of Winair to fly the 7 Teens and it's coordinator Mega D back to St. Maarten to compete in the show. Tickets will still be available at Van Dorp and Mc Donalds philipsburg.
