Pond Island:--- Winners of the 2014 TelCell Breakthrough talent search are bringing home some positive messages to St. Maarten's youth, which they hope will inspire them to excell in school, at work and also at play.
Winners, Arias, Tristan, Serenity and Generation New Status drum band
are now busy promoting new billboard messages outside, schools, sports centers and other establishments where young people gather, in which they are featured.
One of the messages is clearly featured at the entrance of the Philipsburg Jubillee Library, where the yougsters gathered Tuesday for a photo shoot.
"The new posters, featuring the new winners of TelCell Breakthrough 2014 are now in place around St. Maarten, so we can say we are really cranking up the work that these talented youngsters will be doing in the coming weeks," said show promoter in collaboration with mobile provider TelCell, Berteaux "Mr. Rude" Fleming of Xtratight Entertainment.
He said that work will include individual promotional spots for all the artistes as well as group promotions including collaboration on a Mix tape and a music video in a professionally equipped studio.
"We are very excited about helping our winners to realize their dreams by giving them a feel of what it is like to be in the spotlight like many of the music and TV stars they look up to," said Mr. Rude.
He thanked the TelEm Group/TelCell team of Angel Richardson, David Evans and Suraj Ramdas for their continued enthusiasm in the popular Breakthrough event and for once again making the latest show winners feel special.
Show Coordinator, Angel Richardson says the 2014 winning team have already established themselves as role models for the youth with a number of public appearances and now with the promotion of their posters.
"We are very proud to foster their talent to the benefit of all youth," said Angel.
The winners themselves said they are very happy with how they have been received by their peers and members of the public so far.
"The great thing about TelCell Breakthrough is that it didn't stop with the finals. It is a great year round program where we can perform, produce, work on our respective talents and be an example to other young people," said the Breakthrough winners following Tuesday's shoot.
They revealed that they are now busy in the studio with Mr. Rude, working on their collaboration single and video clip which will be released soon under the Rock N' Vibes label.
The show organizers have meantime informed that they are also busy preparing for the upcoming Breakthrough 2015 talent search – already gearing up to be the biggest and best with a record number of performers expected to register in the preliminary knockout rounds.
