PHILIPSBURG:--- On Friday April 17, 2015, the I CAN Foundation received a donation from an Immigration Officer who received a tip for doing an exceptional job.
Immigration Officer Eluriya Leverock donated a tip that was offered to her by a visitor, who was extremely impressed with the service he received while on Sint Maarten. The Officer made it extremely clear that she could not accept the tip, but the visitor insisted on accepting his token of gratitude for the excellent service he received.
In a gesture of good faith and not to offend the visitor Officer Leverock decided then to handed over the tip to the Director who then decided to donate the tip to a local charity namely the I CAN Foundation. The donation was accepted by the Office Manager Ms. Drommond Signaira on behalf of the foundation.
