PHILIPSBURG:--- The Public Prosecutor's office is yet to take a decision as to which law enforcement agency will conduct the SZV card selling scam confirmed press prosecutor Tineke Kamps. Kamps told SMN News that they are at the beginning stages of the investigation. She said one of the set-backs the prosecution has was to decide whether or not KPSM or the Landsrecherché would handle the investigation. Kamps said that at this point she could not divulge which of the justice department will conduct the investigation but she did say that some things are happening.
In the meantime, management of SZV filed a criminal complaint against the employee whom they suspended for allegedly selling SZV medical insurance cards. The employee is still suspended but to date the investigation has not stared. Kamps said by the end of this week she will be able to say which entity would conduct the investigation and release more information to the media.
When SZV made the discovery they did everything to keep the matter out of the media as they conduct their internal investigation and file the complaint with the prosecution. However, MP Franklin Meyers let the cat out of bag in Parliament when he heard of the ongoing saga, after the MP made his public statement on the floor of parliament SZV confirmed the incident in a very short press statement.
