Man arrested for public intoxication and weapon charges.

kpsmlogo21082014PHILIPSBURG:--- On Sunday May 31st at approximately 07.15 p.m. during an investigation by a police patrol on the Narrow drive in Cole Bay they were approached by an unknown man who stated that he is constantly harassed and threatened by another man for no reason. When the police approached the suspect to handle the situation they realized that the suspect was heavily under the influence of alcohol. Further investigations of the suspect lead the patrol to find a large kitchen knife hidden between the waistbands of his trousers. The knife was immediately confiscated. The 47 year old suspect with initials B.G. was arrested on the spot for public intoxication and carrying a concealed weapon and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station for further investigation.

Suspect arrested in ongoing investigation.

On Monday June 1st the 26 year old male suspect with the initials L.A.M.H. was arrested at the Philipsburg Police Station based on an arrest warrant the was issued by the Public Prosecutors Office. He is suspected of being involved in an ongoing burglary investigation. The suspect will remain in custody for questioning and further investigation.

Two arrested for armed robbery


On Monday June 1st at approximately 12.35 p.m. Bobby's Mini Market on Arch road was robbed by an unknown man dressed in dark clothing who was in the possession of a fire-arm. After committing this act the suspect fled in a small green colored vehicle driven by another unknown person. Immediately the Police Central Dispatch sent out an all police bulletin regarding the robbery. Shortly after, the vehicle in question was stopped by a police patrol in Cole Bay in the vicinity of the "Pet Shop". At time the vehicle was driver by a female driver with a male passenger next to her. During a search of the vehicle some cash and a pistol was found under the seat of the passenger. The suspects could not give an acceptable statement to whom the money and firearm belonged. These items were confiscated for further investigation. The female suspect with initials L.L. (23) and male suspect with initials J.J.B (26) were arrested on the spot and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station where they remain in custody for further investigation.
