MULLET BAY:---- Frank Carter and Trevor DaCosta took top honors during the annual two person’s Summer Scramble at the Mullet Bay Golf Course. This event organized by the St. Maarten Golf Association SMGA drew 14 teams of 2 golfers to the course during last Saturday.
On a golf course that’s regaining its beauty and shape after some rain during the last couple of weeks, Carter and DaCosta shot a stunning 50 stroke net score after deduction of their 28 average combined handicaps and beat the runner up team of Gitte Poulsen and Frank Jespersen by 2 strokes net. Third place was won after a match of cards by the team of Jan Peter Holtland and Edu Denkelaar who carded 54 strokes net.
Afterwards lunch and drinks was served to all participants, courtesy of the SMGA and B&C Beverages, annual platinum sponsor of the SMGA.
