MARIGOT:---The Saint-Martin Tourism Office attended the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean week 2015. This event focuses the attention of the media, actors of the tourism industry, artists and political personalities on the touristic, economical and cultural assets of the West Indies. Being part of an organization like the CTO guarantees a special place on the regional and international touristic market for Saint-Martin, while distinguishing itself from other destinations. During this tradeshow, the president of the Tourism Office Jeanne ROGERS-VANTERPOOL, and the director Kate RICHARDSON, followed numerous seminars and met diverse personalities all dedicated to value the dynamism and the attraction of the Caribbean.
The Island was rewarded as the 5th most attractive island of the Caribbean for the duality of its culture and its landscape. Tripadvisor hosted the Travelers’ Choice Best Islands for 2015 award ceremony on the evening of June 4th during which symbolic places of the island were awarded, such as the beach of Orient Bay for its paradisiac setting and its panel of activities, as well as the district of Grand-Case as the third best place to hang-out for gastronomy lovers, diving and West Indian rhythm of life.
