Cay Hill:--- St. Maarten - Walichi Basketball Association members, Founder and Program Director was present and had a great fun filled day with Government & Parliament Officials as well as the youth showcasing how sports really do bring everyone together.
Walichi Basketball Association (WBA) Treasurer Ms. Agnes Monte and LBC Program Director Ms. Marit Gumbs were available under the tent to answer any questions pertaining to the Ladies Basketball Championship (LBC), Interscholastic Basketball Championship (IBC) and about youth basketball training for both girls and boys.
During the day, Honorable Ministers Rita Bourne - Gumbs, Rafael Boasman and Honorable Members of Parliament Cornelius de Weever, Silveria Jacobs and Leona Marlin - Romeo participated in a competitive shootout versus the youth that were present. It was a fun filled activity that had everyone laughing, high-fiving and eager to win. LBC Founder Mr. Elliot Laurence, WBA Vice President Mr. Dennisio Duzong and Secretary Ms. Chiaira Bowers were also present to give information when needed and encouraged the youth to stay active through basketball and in general sports.
