PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunications (Ministry TEATT) Hon. Ernest Sams recently met with COSME Team Leader Diana Hendrickson-Fleming where he was informed about the COSME Programme's CHENACT (Caribbean Hotel Energy Efficiency Action Program) Energy Efficiency workshop on Sint Maarten.
The COSME Programme has been developed to improve the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
In a meeting that included Department of Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunications (EVT) advisors, Minister Sams was briefed on how the European Union (EU)-funded COSME Programme will support small and medium sized enterprises on St. Maarten.
Moreover, the Minister was informed of how the Programme’s next initiative will encourage small hotel properties to be more energy efficient.
