It's finally here; September 1st, 2012. The semi-finals and finals of the GIFTED inter church basketball tournament. What started off as a six team double elimination knock out, is now down to the final three teams. Church of GOD (C.O.G) who remains undefeated has locked their spot in the finals. Christian Faith Ministries (C.F.M) who has suffered their only loss to the undefeated C.O.G is now in the semi-finals battling for redemption against The Seven Day Adventist (S.D.A). This semi-final match up comes with much anticipation as these two teams faced off in the first round of which C.F.M emerged victorious. The S.D.A church has regrouped and returned with a strong performance to defeat Christian Assembly Ministries (C.A.M) and Praise Tabernacle (P.T.C). The New Testament Baptist church (N.T.B.C), C.A.M and P.T.C. all gave a valiant effort, but are now eliminated. A high energy, intense, competitive level of basketball is expected from all the remaining teams as the trophy will leave with a new owner on September 1, 2012. Tip off will be at 7pm sharp at the Melford Hazel Sport Auditorium in Sucker Garden. All are welcomed to come out, support and enjoy fellowship as we partake in competitive inter church basketball.
