Landsloterij is the national Lottery of the Netherlands Antilles and a non-profit organization. Proceeds from the Landsloterij-the only lottery in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba-whose proceeds ticket sales are donated to the community to finance socio-economic, charity, arts and science projects. The Landsloterij is a Public Law Entity, wherein all activities and personnel fall under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Finance. The main office was, and still is, situated in CuraƧao. In Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius there are depositaries representing the Landsloterij each with a Deposit Manager in charge.
Ticket sales of the Landsloterij are from the main office and from official resellers.
Landsloterij performs an important role in society by providing opportunities to different persons, sometimes elderly people in need of supplemental income, who are willing to sell Landsloterij tickets and earn some income.
At each bi-weekly drawing the Landsloterij provides 35,000 tickets. There are 24 drawings each year: 2 million guilder draws and 2 half-a-million guilder drawing.
