Mos said that the police searched a home on Billy Folly Road, Pelican and in that house they found a rifle and the person that was inside the house was arrested. The Chief Prosecutor further explained that the suspect who was arrested gave a statement to the police claiming that the weapon was inside the house when he went to occupy the house. Therefore, the police decided to arrest the owner of the house.
Mos said police searched a house in Pelican and an apartment in Cupe Coy after they received international information indicating that there might be money laundering taking place on the island. The Chief Prosecutor also confirmed that monies and other items were confiscated and that two persons are now in custody. Mos did not give any indication as to how much money was confiscated during the house searches neither did he say what the other items were.
