Raeyhon Peterson lost court case against government.

raeyonpeterson11102019~ Peterson has since been on sick leave since his removal from the post.~

PHILIPSBURG:--- Former Acting head of Domain Affairs Raeyhon Peterson has lost the case he initiated against the government of St. Maarten since he was removed from the position a few months ago.
Peterson headed to court because he felt that his position as the acting head was one he is entitled to, however, the judge informed Peterson in his decision last week that the position he filled over the past two years was not a permanent position. While Peterson lost the case against government the court has ordered the government of St. Maarten to pay the court fees which amounted to NAF 1,400.00 since Peterson was placed in a position where he needed to seek clarity from the courts.
SMN News understands that ever since Peterson was removed from the position he went on sick leave before seeking leave of absence to participate in the current political campaign.
Sources say Peterson went his doctor and SZV who granted him extended sick leave while knowing the civil servant was not ill. SMN News understands that while Peterson was on sick leave he was seen in Festival Village attending the Buju Banton shows and other events. Several persons contacted SMN News and expressed concerns that Peterson who is a candidate on the Party of Progress slate are preaching integrity while Peterson has not shown any integrity when dealing with government and his current function.
