PHILIPSBURG:--- A Gold Safeseal recognition was granted to the Health and Safety protocols of Maho Events Management / Nexus. SafeSeal is the recognition of best practices in protecting its customers against COVID19.
Maho Events Management / Nexus is a Destination Management Company (DMC) specializing in transportation, excursions, tours as well as customer service throughout one’s visit to the island. They are also the ground handler for the largest Canadian Tour Operator Sunwing.
The company increased its hygiene standards shortly after the outbreak of the global COVID19 pandemic. The company implemented its "Be Safe with Nexus" Health and Safety protocols with all its partners. Amongst others, sanitization measures were put in place and 60% occupancy became the limit on all vehicles and excursions. A variety of excursions are offered to guests insuring social distancing at affordable prices.
By means of an exam, the “Be Safe with Nexus” protocols were proven compliant to the SafeSeal demands this week. SafeSeal standards have been devised by medical and occupational safety professionals; the methods and practices have been used to grant acknowledgment of best COVID19 prevention practices to thousands of companies in the Caribbean. For St Maarten, the checklists per sector have been validated to befit, among others, the guidelines on stmaartengov.org.
Destination Manager Melody Rouveure can confirm that the protocols are in place for all transfer and excursion providers and they are up to standard. "We are with you every step of the way" is our motto for Nexus and it has never been more true”.
By highlighting best-practice companies, supporting organizations St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, the St Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association, and occupational health company Medwork want to spread the word that Sint Maarten is making its best effort to be a safe destination.
