COLE BAY:---The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset welcomed three professionals as its newest members on August 23rd, 2021. Joining Rotary Sunset are Cheryl Dangleben-York, Jovanka De Randamie, and Alisha Brookes, who were officially sworn in by Rotary District 7020 Governor, Louis Wever, during the club’s general meeting.
- Cheryl York: an Administrator employed by the Parliament of Sint Maarten and sponsored by Rotarian Elisia Lake.
- Alisha Brooks: an Educator employed by NIPA and sponsored by Rotarian Stuart Johnson.
- Jovanka De Randamie: Operations Coordinator employed for Princess Juliana International Airport and sponsored by Rotarian Tamara Leonard.
Following the process of a robust membership plan, all three professionals have been identified as assets to the club and embody the motto of Rotary International, “Service Above Self”. From the onset, they have made themselves readily available to assist in all projects, attend workshops, meetings, events, and fellowships and the members of Rotary Sunset look forward to serving humanity with them onboard.
Prior to officially inducting the new members, the club invited Lion's Sub District 60B District Governor 21-22, Claudio Buncamper PMJF as its special guest speaker for the evening. DG Claudio led the attendees logged on via Zoom and present at Carl N Sons conference room into a thorough discussion and reflection under the topic, "Membership Satisfaction".
DG Wever officially installed the club’s newest members, and they were then pinned by their sponsor, Elisia Lake, President Norrisa represented Tamara Leonard and Stuart Johnson, respectively at Carl N Sons Conference Room, while all Sunset members and guests from around the world joined in on the celebration via Zoom. President Anatol also delivered an impactful speech highlighting the importance of increasing their Rotary knowledge and being engaged to become a well-rounded Rotarian.
The club would like to congratulate Rotarians Cheryl, Alisha and Jovanka and look forward to their continued lifelong commitment to the club and their community. The club would also like to extend its appreciation to Lion's Sub District 60B District Governor 21-22, Claudio Buncamper PMJF for being an exceptional guest speaker.
