PHILIPSBURG:--- The House of Parliament will sit in a Central Committee meeting on November 22, 2021.
The Central Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday at 10.00 hrs. in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The Minister of General Affairs, the Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor, and the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports will be present.
Factions in Parliament have expressed the need for additional information concerning the Country Reform Package for Sint Maarten and the execution of the (current) Implementation Agenda, per Ministry. It is the intention that this meeting be held periodically after the signing of a new Implementation Agenda to ensure that the Parliament is duly informed.
The agenda point is:
Briefing by and discussion with the Council of Ministers regarding the Country Packages, the 3rd implementation agenda (Q4) and the implementation report for the 3rd quarter for Sint Maarten by the COHO i.o. (IS/152/2021-2022 dated October 20, 2021)
Due to measures taken to mitigate the coronavirus (COVID-19), the House of Parliament is only allowing persons with an appointment to enter the Parliament building.
