Committee of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication of Parliament to meet with representatives of the Sint Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA)

PHILIPSBURG:---The Committee of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication of Parliament will meet on March 14, 2022.

The Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday at 14.00 hrs.
in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. Representatives of Sint Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) will be present.

The agenda point is:
Discussion with the SHTA regarding an update on their status, current hotel inventory and prospects, recommendations on best practices for marketing the destination, position on proposed General Health Insurance, position on AirBnB and the sharing economy, and the World Bank SME’s project (IS/1298/2018-2019 dated July 17, 2019 and IS/027/2021-2022 dated September 17, 2021)

 

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations. All persons visiting the House of Parliament must adhere to the house rules and all health and safety protocols, including the wearing of a mask.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
