~ Single mother of two being victimized, facing termination at both her jobs.~
PHILIPSBURG:---- The Executive Secretary of NV GEBE Samira George has been placed on non-active duty as of May 30th, 2022.
SMN News has been reliably informed that management of NV GEBE accused George of leaking the company’s internal letters to media houses and social media, one such letter is the letter sent by the company’s temporary manager to its CEO candidate and chief internal auditor Sharine Daniel. The letter to Daniel indicated that instructions were given to the company’s human resources department to remove all warning letters from Daniel’s file.
According to the information provided to SMN News, the company’s Temporary Manager Merrill Temmer met with George on Monday, May 30th, 2022 while he was supposed to be on medical leave. In this meeting, Temmer informed George that she was the most likely person that leaked the letter that exposed both him and Daniel, as such she was placed on inactive duty pending termination.
Apart from the accusations of leaking confidential information the company also accused the executive secretary who served the company for over 5 years of stealing two hard drives.
According to NV GEBE, the executive secretaries are in possession of hard drives where they store their daily work, and the hard drives that George used went missing after George was escorted out of the company’s offices. NV GEBE claimed to have conducted investigations in the presence of witnesses and photographs were taken to show the hard drives were not found in George’s desk drawer which has no lock.
It is, however, very questionable as to why the cameras in the executive offices of NV GEBE were turned off or removed since NV GEBE cannot provide the video surveillance of the executive offices to show exactly who removed the hard drives if they were removed by anyone.
Employees of N.V GEBE who spoke to SMN News on the condition of anonymity said George is being set up and victimized by intending members of the management team. They claimed that GEBE workers are being manhandled and disrespected on a daily basis.
Samira George is a single mother of two children, she is employed by NV GEBE as an executive secretary while working in the evening at the University of St. Martin in order to provide for her family. Today she is jobless because she is fired by both employers.
Two weeks prior to her suspension George was also informed by USM that her contract at USM will be terminated. It is because of these events that some workers of NV GEBE felt that George is a victim because the CEO candidate Sharine Daniel is also a member of the USM board. “This is no coincidence that the incoming CEO is also a member of the USM board and George is fired there too.”
The workers are asking why anyone would choose to victimize a local single mother of two.? Who does this to their people? They asked who is next on the list that will be wrongfully terminated, and at which point the Supervisory Board of Directors of NV GEBE will step in or the Minister of VROMI?
It should be noted that the SMUC Union along with their member filed a complaint at KPSM regarding the allegations of theft by NV GEBE.
