PHILIPSBURG:--- A number of road closures will be in place on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, and Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in connection with the various events surrounding the farewell ceremony of His Excellency the Governor, drs. Eugene B. Holiday.
The Wilhelminastraat in front of the House of Parliament, including a section of Frontstreet will be closed on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.
The closure is in connection with a dress rehearsal in preparation for activities surrounding the Governors transition.
A section of Backstreet, from the office of Cadaster to the Market place, the lower part of Frontstreet, and the Wilhelminastraat will be closed on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 6.00 AM to 2.00 PM. This is in connection with the official ceremonies for the farewell of His Excellency the Governor, drs. E.B. Holiday.
Several side roads providing access to Backstreet and Front street will also be closed during the times mentioned above.
