PHILIPSBURG:--- TELEm is announcing yet another innovative first for the community of St Maarten. TELEm, Orion production Studio, and Smart Concepts 721 B.V. teamed up to provide local News content on Amazon Alexa.
TV15 News, a subsidiary of TELEm was recently launched on TelTV+. It is produced by Orion Production Studio with News presenters Mr. Darin Hodge and Ms. Valerie Van Putten and is now also available on Alexa’s smart speaker. This new service will allow a five-minute synopsis of local, regional and international news to be played on demand on Alexa smart speakers.
What is Alexa? Alexa is a voice-controlled virtual assistant. She can play music, control your smart home, answer questions and engage your favorite services to keep you organized, informed, safe, connected, and entertained. As a product of Amazon, she’s also your personal shopper. Digital assistants are poised to follow smartphones as the next great technological phenomenon.
Anyone around the world with an Alexa smart speaker will now have access to the local news by enabling St. Maarten News on Amazon. Once enabled users can ask Alexa to “Play Flash Briefing” this command will trigger Alexa to play St. Maarten News. Other news agencies on Alexa include CNN, FOX, BBC, and NPR.
The news content is updated daily with a weekend review on Saturdays and Sundays. The news content is uploaded by Smart Concepts 721 B.V., a Smart Home and business automation company.
