PHILIPSBURG:--- Information reaching SMN News states that the Secretary General of the Ministry of General Affairs Hensley Plantijn has been suspended from active duties.
Sources say that Plantijn who worked for former Prime Minister and now Member of Parliament Sarah Wescot Williams as her legal advisor prior to being appointed Secretary General was not meeting his targets with several other prime ministers.
SMN News learned that in 2017, the Marlin 2 cabinet had serious issues with Plantijn who was not working to the satisfaction of the then cabinet and several matters were not handled in a timely manner. SMN News learned that former Prime Minister William Marlin was on the verge of suspending Plantijn but his government was short-lived.
SMN News further learned that in 2018 Leona Marlin's cabinet also had the advice made up to terminate Plantijn, this advice was sent to the Governor's cabinet for signing but her government also toppled before the execution of the advice could have taken place.
SMN News was informed that the Jacobs 2 cabinet has been suffering the same sort of setbacks as the former prime ministers, as such the Jacobs 2 cabinet executed the advice that was prepared by Leona Marlin's cabinet, thus Plantijn was suspended.
