PHILIPSBURG:---: Merrill Jimmy Temmer the Statutory Director appointed to NV GEBE on August 22nd, 2022 has officially tendered his resignation on November 7th, 2022, Attorney at Law Lucas Berman has confirmed that his client has decided in the best interest of his health to resign from the position since it seems there is no longer support from the shareholder representatives of the government-owned company.
Temmer who was appointed as the Temporary Manager was on sick leave prior to his appointment as the statutory director of NV GEBE, however, due to the March 16th, 2022 black byte cyber attack. Temmer was officially suspended on September 12th, 2022, for investigation purposes.
A hearing was scheduled for November 9th, 2022 but Temmer opted to resign. Berman said that Temmer weighed his options and instead of fighting legal battles which would greatly affect his ailing health he has decided to resign prior to the scheduled hearing.
Temmer who was the IT manager of NV GEBE still has to work out the situation with his former position as IT manager since his contract as a statutory director allows him to return to his former position (or similar position) when the COO contract ends prior to the pension age.
The shareholder representatives of the government-owned company instructed the Supervisory Board of Directors to suspend Temmer after receiving the Aurora InfoTech report on the March 16th, 2022 cyber attack on NV GEBE servers and the public outcry on the mismanagement of the government-owned company.
