~Minister of TEATT meeting with both parties to resolve issues~
SIMPSON BAY:--- CEO of the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIAE) Brian Mingo suspended communications specialist Audrey St Luce Jack on Thursday morning. The cause is unclear however sources say that St. Luce Jack is accused of circulating scandalous Whatsapp messages regarding PJIAE and its reconstruction project. Workers at PJIAE have dubbed the suspension as suspicious as Mingo advertised the position of the local employee recently in the media to make way for a Telem worker to take over the position. They claim that St. Luce Jack has been suspended without warning or just cause.
The workers said that Mingo instructed security guards to escort St Luce out of the Airport executive offices. Presently the Union WISCU/PSU president is at the executive office and called for an urgent meeting with the CEO. Staff at the airport continued to request the government to step in and do something about these unjustified firing of locals.
Efforts made by SMN News to obtain a statement from CEO Brian Mingo proved futile as he could not be reached by telephone.
SMN News learned that the WISCU/ PSU was invited along with the CEO of PJIAE by the Minister of TEATT Leo Lambrix as the Minister tries to get both sides of the current disagreement that led to the suspension.
