~Victim evacuated to Guadeloupe, while suspect in Garde a Vue~
MARIGOT:--- The Gendarmerie has reported that on Monday night just before midnight there was a stabbing involving two men.
The incident took place at the Cadisco Gas Station in the vicinity of Howell Center in Marigot.
According to the Gendarmerie, the two men were arguing when one of them ended up striking the other several times with a knife in the area of the abdomen.
The Gendarmerie said while the officers were on the spot, they received valuable information on the suspect and where he could be found. The motive of the argument and subsequent stabbing have not yet been established, however, the victim was seriously injured but was conscious, he was transported to the Louis Constant Fleming Hospital for emergency treatment then on Tuesday morning the victim was evacuated to Guadeloupe for appropriate treatment. Meanwhile, the suspect was arrested and remains in custody while in the investigations continue.
