PHILIPSBURG:--- In response to questions posed by SMN News regarding the marketplace project that was announced by the Minister of TEATT Arthur Lambriex and was highlighted by a former cabinet staff of TEATT on Tuesday evening accusing the Minister of Finance Ardwell Irion of holding up the project and playing politics with the peoples business.
The Minister of Finance in his response to the press release sent by the former cabinet staff said that he believes it is time for misinformation to the public should stop now, he explained that the project has nothing to do with him and that he remembered seeing renderings on the marketplace project since he was a member of parliament. “This project started way before I took office four years ago. Just over a month ago, I spoke to the Chief of staff of the Ministry of TEATT and he told me that the final advice is being worked on. So far, this project has not reached my office or the Council of Ministers."
On Tuesday the Minister of TEATT Arthur Leo Lambriex informed me that he is working feverishly on finalizing the advice and have it sent to the Council of Ministers.
Irion further explained that he is almost sure that the former cabinet staff never worked on any advice let alone the one for the marketplace, it also shows how information was not being shared properly within the cabinet.
