~Financial Literacy Month Workshops Still Available~
PHILIPSBURG:--- The Ministry of Finance has been experiencing great turnouts for Financial Literacy Month workshops. This series of events, in collaboration with Ms. Ife Badejo of Islandpreneur, aims to foster economic resilience and financial empowerment. Feedback has been very promising as the Ministry leads up to Global Entrepreneurship Week and the National Youth Pitch Competition this Sunday, November 19th at the Aleeze Convention Center.
The highlight of the week will be the National Youth Pitch Competition finals, where St. Maarten’s brightest young minds will showcase their entrepreneurial acumen. This event not only celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of our youth but also ignites a passion for innovation in the next generation.
During the Youth Pitch, students will go head-to-head to compete for cash prizes and the opportunity to travel for mentorship. Guest judges include Burunda Prince COO of Russell Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RICE); Aly Merritt, Managing Director of Atlanta Tech Village; and Charles Robinson, Venture Capitalist at the 1888 Fund. The competition will take place on November 19 at 4:00 PM at Aleeze Convention Center. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.
