BPWC SXM hosts its annual fundraiser entitled “Tea Party With A Twist"

Sandy Ground:---  The Business & Professional Women Concordia St. Martin (BPWC) hosted its annual fundraiser event entitled “Tea Party With A Twist” under the theme “Its Tea Time It's Your Time” on Sunday, January 7th, 2024. The event was geared towards encouraging, inspiring, and empowering women from every walk of life to endeavor to become the best version of themselves in 2024.

Chaired by the club's Matriarch & Treasurer Emelinda Lake and her Committee Members, President Catherine Magdeleine, Secretary Sharanne Gibbs, Vice President Membership Kathia Magdeleine, Vice President Public Relations Luciana Gomes Yamamoto, Member Cathy Questel-Gamiette & assisted by Member Dawn Smith, and Cindy Peters. This annual fundraiser event highlighted the club's commitment to helping women from diverse backgrounds accomplish their professional, business, and leadership potential through advocacy, education, mentoring, skill-building, and engaging sessions.

The audience was warmly welcomed with a delectable and refreshing chilled tea by the creative Claudia Cook from Dru's Juices, the popular Chez Clément was decorated in lustrous and vibrant colors with a festive ambiance. The participants were attentive as they received wise and practical steps they could take to help them become the best version of themselves in 2024, from the CEO of ABLEMS, Melba Wescott.

Palates were satiated with the delicious dishes, provided by Quality Catering as the lovely and talented Ms Rubia Sutton captivated the audience with her melodious voice while they hung on to her every word and requested an encore.
The guest speaker, Dr Ann Evans locally known as Simply Ann challenged the participants to prioritize their goals and to be consistent.

The sounds of laughter and joy filled the already charged atmosphere as the master of the ceremony, the very gifted Ricky Da Phoxx engaged the attendees with tact and charisma. As the sun set, the saxophone reverberated the entire room with smooth and jazzy sounds, skillfully played by the renowned Connis Vanterpool setting the tone to bring to conclusion a gratifying and enjoyable evening.
