GREAT BAY– The Department of Disaster Management is calling on motorists to exercise caution while driving in low lying areas which could flood due to heavy and persistent rainfall. Motorists driving near hillsides are also asked to exercise caution with respect to possible rock falls due to the water saturated hillsides after several days of rainfall. The island is currently experiencing weather from a Tropical Wave located near the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico which is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
