BPW Concordia SXM Hosts Inspirational Open House Event at Grand Case Beach Club Hotel.

St. Martin:---  BPW Concordia SXM, a beacon of empowerment in the Caribbean, proudly hosted its second open house event at the prestigious Grand Case Beach Club Hotel. This event, held under the theme "Count You In Empowering Women Through Self-Investment," marked a significant milestone in the organization's journey toward fostering a community of empowered women.

Since its acceptance into the International Federation of Business and Professional Women's organization on March 9th, 2017, BPW Concordia SXM has been dedicated to advancing the cause of women in business and the professions. The open house served as a platform to display the organization's commitment to empowerment and inclusivity.

Facilitated by the esteemed Dr. Christine Walwyn, a prominent figure in the business and professional community of St. Kitts and Nevis, the event provided attendees with valuable insights on self-investment and personal development. Dr. Walwyn’s expertise and passion resonated deeply with the audience as she emphasized the importance of prioritizing emotional, economic, social, spiritual, and physical well-being.

In addition to Dr. Walwyn’s inspiring address, the open house also highlighted the core mission of BPW International, focusing on networking, skill-building, and economic empowerment. Special guest, Regional Coordinator for North America and the Caribbean, Dawne Williams, commended BPW Concordia SXM for its resilience in adversity and extended a warm invitation to attend the upcoming BPW International Congress in St. Kitts from November 17th through 21st, 2024.

During the event, founding member Suzanne Scantlebery introduced the BPWC LinkOpp (Link Opportunities) Partner program, which seeks to collaborate with businesses and organizations to achieve success in mutually beneficial initiatives. The launch of the BPW Concordia SXM Job Board, which provides a platform for job seekers and employers seeking resources, was also unveiled.

The success of the open house would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of the planning committee, Kathia Magdeleine (event chair), Catherine Magdeleine, Cathy Questel-Gamiette, Suzanne Scantlebery, Emelinda Lake, Meredith Concincion, Sharanne Gibbs, and Luciana Yamamoto.

BPW Concordia SXM extends heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and sponsors, including Mr. and Mrs. Danielle Chance Glasgow, Mrs. Marcia Hodge Rogers, and Ms. Mary Bryson. BPW Concordia SXM opens its doors for community partnerships with ALL (men, women, organizations, and businesses). Membership is open to all women from ages 18 to 35 (Young BPW) and members 35 years and up. Membership is open to all women who want to improve their professional skills while building a strong local, regional, and international network.

With open doors for membership and partnerships, BPW Concordia SXM looks forward to continuing its empowerment mission and invites all interested individuals to join the movement as we are stronger together.
