IPFest Continues to Empower Women Entrepreneurs in Curaçao.

~Join Industry Leaders and Innovators in Curaçao on August 7-9 for a Transformative Event~

ipfest28072024Willemstad, Curaçao:--- Building on the success of previous events, including the remarkable gathering on St. Maarten, the U.S. Mission to the Dutch Caribbean, in collaboration with Islandpreneur, is excited to announce the upcoming Islandpreneur Power Fest in Curaçao. This significant event, aimed at empowering women business owners from the Dutch Caribbean and the United States, will take place from August 8 -9 at the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS) in Willemstad, setting the stage for an extraordinary assembly of visionaries and change-makers.

The organizers are pleased to announce that the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten, a key strategic partner since the first Islandpreneur signature event, is an official partner of Islandpreneur Power Fest Curaçao as this fosters the collaborative efforts of the islands for economic growth.

This summit continues to be underpinned by the U.S. State Department's POWER program (Providing Opportunities for Women’s Economic Rise), which, since its inception in 2019, has been pivotal in leveraging diplomatic and private sector resources to enhance women's access to vital skills and networks. At the heart of this initiative is recognizing the pivotal role women entrepreneurs play in driving economic innovation and sustainable growth.

Key Highlights of IPFest Curaçao:

  • Selective Engagement: This event is unique in its approach, offering a platform for women entrepreneurs from the Caribbean and the U.S. The exclusivity ensures focused and meaningful interactions, making it a rare opportunity for attendees.
  • Business Matching for Global Trade: A core component of the conference is the facilitation of business matching, which aims to bolster foreign trade and open up new market opportunities. This initiative is a testament to the collaborative spirit of the participating regions, fostering economic ties and mutual growth.
  • Bilateral Exchange of Expertise: In a refreshing departure from traditional conference formats, this experience is structured as a two-way exchange where both U.S. and Caribbean participants share and gain insights, underscoring a joint commitment to learning and growing together.
  • Foundation for Sustainable Partnerships: Beyond networking, the event is geared towards cultivating long-term, profitable business relationships. This approach is aligned with the broader goal of sustainable economic development and the empowerment of women entrepreneurs.
  • Pitching and Showcasing Opportunities: Attendees will have the chance to pitch their businesses and showcase their products to a distinguished panel of regional and international experts. This platform not only provides invaluable feedback but also opens doors to potential partnerships and strategic guidance, highlighting the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the participants.

IPFest will also feature direct engagements with business leaders such as, Aly Merritt, Managing Director of Atlanta Tech Village, the 4th largest tech hub in the US; Dr. Dawn Sizmore from Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, the largest black business incubator in the US; Charles Robinson managing partner of 1888 Ventures and an established impact investor; and Nelida Cathalina, an international export and business coach with expertise in Europe and the Caribbean.
