Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort Announces Partnership with WOW!

Highlighting the Unique Nature of the Six Dutch Caribbean Islands through Films, Documentaries, and Interactive Experiences

St. Eustatius:---  Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort is proud to announce its official partnership with WOW! on a groundbreaking multimedia initiative designed to showcase the beauty, fragility, and resilience of the six Dutch Caribbean islands. This collaboration aligns perfectly with Golden Rock Resort’s mission to increase awareness of the relatively unknown St. Eustatius, with sustainability at the core of its operations. As the first and only luxury eco-resort on the island, Golden Rock is dedicated to promoting environmentally conscious tourism.
WOW! is a collaborative project by the 360º Foundation of Innovation in Aruba and EMS Films/M&N Media Group from the Netherlands. EMS Films is internationally acclaimed for the award-winning film The New Wilderness (De Nieuwe Wildernis), which became a Dutch box office sensation in 2013 and earned multiple prestigious awards, including the Golden Calf. Through a series of films, documentaries, and interactive experiences, WOW! aims to capture the essence of the diverse natural landscapes across all Dutch Caribbean islands, raising awareness about the importance of preserving these delicate ecosystems. For more information about the initiative, please visit www.wowthenaturefilm.com.
Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort, which opened in 2021, features 75 rooms, suites, and bungalows nestled within lush tropical gardens containing over 140,000 trees, plants, and flowers. The 16-hectare resort is located on the dormant Quill volcano, offering stunning views and a range of eco-friendly amenities, including two swimming pools, a saltwater lagoon, and two restaurants. The resort also hosts a diving school, Statia Divers, and has implemented sustainable practices such as producing its own drinking water via Reverse Osmosis and using a solar park with 2,240 panels for daily power. Fresh vegetables and herbs are grown on-site in the resort’s greenhouse, providing ingredients for the chefs at both restaurants.
The partnership between Golden Rock Resort and WOW! represents a natural synergy. As a resort dedicated to sustainability and promoting eco-conscious tourism, Golden Rock is thrilled to support WOW!’s mission to bring the beauty of St. Eustatius and the other Dutch Caribbean islands to a broader audience.
“We are honored to partner with WOW! and spotlight St. Eustatius, a hidden gem waiting to be discovered,” said Marah Gumps, General Manager of Golden Rock Resort. “Our resort’s mission is to combine luxury with sustainability, and this partnership not only highlights our eco-friendly efforts but also aims to inspire others to protect the region’s biodiversity.”
“The collaboration with Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort provides WOW! a unique platform to convey our vision of sustainability and conservation,” stated Bianca Peters, co-producer of WOW! “Together, we aim to bring the ‘WOW factor’ to life by immersing viewers in the breathtaking beauty and biodiversity of the Dutch Caribbean islands. Golden Rock shares our passion for safeguarding these delicate ecosystems, and we hope to make a lasting impact that inspires people worldwide to explore and protect these hidden treasures.”
The WOW! team will be filming across the islands over the next two years, with the documentaries scheduled to air on Dutch television in late 2025 and early 2026.
