PHILIPSBURG:--- Bureau Telecommunications and Post Sint Maarten (BTP) proudly participated in the Postal Sector Ministerial and CCE meetings (management meetings held for member countries to discuss regulatory and operational framework matters) organized by the Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal (UPAEP). This landmark event took place in El Salvador, bringing together key stakeholders from across the region to address pressing challenges in the postal sector.
The meeting focused on analyzing global postal challenges and raising awareness among government authorities about innovative projects that drive sustainable development. The delegation from Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten joined forces to represent the Kingdom and share insights on advancing the Caribbean’s postal systems.
Interim Director Judianne Labega-Hoeve emphasized the significance of Sint Maarten’s participation, stating: "This event underscores the pivotal role the postal sector plays in sustainable development and economic growth. For Sint Maarten, it is an opportunity to align with global best practices, strengthen our regional partnerships, and explore innovative solutions that will modernize our postal services to serve our community better."
