PHILIPSBURG:---On the morning of December 13, 2024, at approximately 7:00 AM, Central police dispatch of (KPSM) received a distress call regarding a gentleman found unresponsive on Peppermint Drive in Cay Hill. Upon arrival, patrol officers encountered a male individual showing no signs of life.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, who was in his seventies and had been reportedly ill for some time, was discovered by family members in this tragic situation earlier in the morning. The evidence gathered at the scene strongly indicates that the individual took his own life.
The Sint Maarten Police Force expresses its deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, and friends of the deceased. We extend our thoughts and prayers to them during this incredibly difficult time and wish them strength and comfort as they navigate this loss.
