PHILIPSBURG: ---Teachers teaching at government-subsidized schools should be getting their 2% indexation by the end of January, says Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports (ECYS) Melissa Gumbs.
Gumbs said when she took office, she was made aware that advice had to be made before the payments could have been made. She explained that the advice was made and the disbursement should be by the end of January 2025. However, the minister made clear that when the money reaches the various school boards, it will be the school board's responsibility to make the payments to the individual teachers.
