~ SOAB and Government Internal Auditor to conduct Audit~
PHILIPSBURG: --- Minister of Finance Marinka Gumbs announced on Wednesday at the Council of Ministers press briefing that she has ordered an audit on Civil Servants. Minister Gumbs said concerns about individuals receiving government salaries without actively working had been raised.
“While monthly payroll approvals are conducted, I, Minister of Finance, have directed the Internal Audit Department and SOAB to conduct a thorough audit to identify and address
any ghost workers on the government payroll.” The Minister said.
This audit will produce a detailed report per ministry, specifying individuals receiving salaries without working.
