Situated on the 37-square-mile island of Sint Maarten/Saint Martin in the Leeward Islands, Belair Beach Resort is the only all-suite oceanfront resort on the island. Located on Little Bay Beach, the 72-unit property offers a unique blend of hotel, timeshare, and condominium accommodations just minutes from the capital, Philipsburg.
The sale was facilitated by Juan Fernandez of CONFER Hospitality Advisors, and Tom Hoover Jr. of Highpoint Capital advised the seller and buyer. Preserving the legacy of Belair Beach Resort was a top priority for the original developers, ensuring that the property and its renovations align with the best interests of its loyal guests and the island of Sint Maarten."
Juan Fernandez brings extensive experience in St. Maarten’s hospitality sector, having previously served as General Manager of Great Bay Hotel and as a member of the SHTA and SMTA, actively contributing to tourism development and global marketing for the island. Belair Beach Resort has been a distinguished part of the island’s tourism landscape for over 40 years. Originally developed by the Harris family from New York, the resort is now set for a significant transformation. The new owner has assembled a team of designers and hospitality operators to reposition Belair as a world-class vacation club resort. Renovation plans are currently in development, with construction expected to begin in the summer of 2025.
The investment not only enhances the resort’s infrastructure but also signals further opportunities for resort acquisitions and sustainable development in St. Maarten’s tourism sector.
