PHILIPSBURG: --- The Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Finance, Nicole Marlin, has been appointed to the Resolution Fund Committee of the Central Bank mainly to overlook the Ennia saga and the agreements made between the Minister of Finance on St. Maarten Marinka Gumbs on behalf of the Country St. Maarten.
Marlin’s main task will be to overlook the amendment made to the agreement on the Addendum of the Outline Agreement.
Minister of Finance Marinka Gumbs has confirmed the temporary appointment. Gumbs said that the candidate was more than qualified and that she did all due diligence to ensure that the appointee could function without any conflict of interest. The Minister said the Central Bank approved the appointment before the matter was discussed with the Council of Ministers.
