The Late Temporary Manager of NV GEBE Troy Washington.

PHILIPSBURG: --- On Tuesday afternoon, St. Maarten was thrown into deep mourning after the cabinet of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers received news that the Temporary Manager, Troy Washington, who was also selected to become the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NV GEBE, passed away while he was en route to the Netherlands to attend a conference relating to NV GEBE.
SMN News learned that Washington was on his way to the Netherlands today on an Air France flight when he fell ill on board the flight. The source said that he was taken to France, where it was confirmed that he died in flight.
Details on how Washington passed is not readily available.
The government of St. Maarten and the Supervisory Board of NV GEBE are expected to make a statement soon.
