PJIAE Assures Public Of Full Preparedness Ahead of Tropical Storm ERIN.

erin13082025PHILIPSBURG:--- Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIAE) is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Erin, which is currently moving across the Atlantic. Although it is still a considerable distance from the region, our teams are actively implementing preparedness measures to ensure the continued safety of our passengers, employees, and operations.

 Storm Overview
As of the latest advisory, Tropical Storm Erin is located approximately 820 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and 1,765 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands, moving west at about 23 mph with sustained winds of 45 mph. Forecast models indicate that Erin will likely continue on a west-northwest track, with gradual strengthening expected over the coming days. While current projections suggest it may pass north of the Caribbean, our teams remain vigilant and ready to respond to any change in its path or intensity.

PJIAE’s teams are preparing in case of any potential impact, remain on high alert, and continue to coordinate closely with national authorities and weather monitoring agencies. We will provide timely updates should Tropical Storm Erin’s path or intensity change in a way that may affect our operations.
