MARIGOT:--- The Collectivité of Saint-Martin is reminding residents and members of the diaspora that fewer than 15 days remain to submit designs for the territory’s new flag.
The Saint-Martin flag design competition is entering its final phase, with submissions due at noon on September 30, 2026, Saint-Martin time.
The competition is open to both professionals and amateurs. People living in Saint-Martin, as well as members of the Saint-Martin diaspora, are eligible to participate and help create the territory’s flag.
Each application must include:
- A visual representation of the proposed flag
- A copy of the applicant’s identification
- A statement explaining the intention behind the design
- A description of the creative process, accompanied by sketches
- A signed application form identified as Annex A
Applications may be submitted online through www.mysaintmartinflag.com.
Applicants may also deliver their submissions in person. Physical applications must be placed in a sealed envelope bearing the words: “CONCOURS DRAPEAU DE SAINT-MARTIN, NE PAS OUVRIR.”
Deliver the envelope to the Direction de l’Action Culturelle, Collectivité de Saint-Martin, Baie de la Potence, at the Saint-Martin port authority building in Galisbay.

After the September 30 deadline, a public consultative vote is scheduled for October 2026. The official installation of the selected Saint-Martin flag is planned for December 7, 2026.
The competition was formally launched on August 11, one day after a public presentation of the flag project.
