Zagersgut:--- GEBE is experiencing a major power outage at its substation in Zagersgut. Preliminary reports indicate that a main feeder cable was damaged due to digging in the area.The following areas are currently being affected: AT Illidge Road, Middle Region, Dutch Quarter, Union Farm, Belvedere, Bishop Hill area, Dawn Beach, Tamarind Hill, Red Pond, St. Peters, Reward, Ebenezer, Betty's Estate, Saunders, Mary's Fancy, Belvedere, Oyster Pond, Westin Hotel area, and parts of Madame Estate, Longwall Rd, Bush rd, Illidge Rd, Zagersgut.
Technicians are working to determine the exact location of the faulty line in order to make the necessary repairs.
GEBE commercial manager Steve Duzanson said in an invited comment that he does not know when power will be restored to the affected areas.
